NASHVILLE, Tenn. (ChristianPost) - Joni Eareckson Tada has been inducted in the National Religious Broadcasters Hall of Fame. The well know artist and author has been host of the radio program, “Joni and Friends” for 30 years. Tada lives as a quadriplegic after suffering a diving accident at age 17. She says she struggles daily with her dependency on others. She told the Christian Post, “Some people tend to believe that I’m a strong Christian. But that’s not true…I’m very weak. When I wake up in the morning, I’m thinking …after 45 years of paralysis…I just don’t know if I can face another day of having someone do everything for me. The routine seems so overwhelming…sometimes I just feel like turning my head on the pillow and closing my eyes on the day. But if there is a secret to being content, it’s that I recognize that my weakness is an asset because it drives me into the arms of Jesus.”

UNDATED (OneNewsNow) – An Iranian pastor who has been jailed 862 days could be in imminent danger for refusing to renounce his faith in Jesus Christ. Prison authorities have tried to pressure Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani to convert to the Muslim faith, but because he refuses to do so, he faces the death penalty. Jordan Sekulow of the American Center for Law & Justice is supporting a congressional resolution written by Representative Joseph Pitts that condemns Iran’s persecution of the pastor and calls for his immediate release. Sekulow says, “At the same time, we get this word that his life is, for the second time, in serious risk.” International pressure put Nadarkhani’s first execution on hold.
