As a little one, these moments came when I realized that places like Egypt, Israel, and Damascus were real places that you could find on an actual map from today.

Excellent discussion with Nancy Pearcey. Nancy did an excellent job articulating the cutting edge issues that are reverberating throughout society regarding the sanctitiy of human life and the need to defend and protect it. This topic will need to be dealt with by anyone who's nearing death and relying on their health care provider to honor their wishes regarding life-saving procedures for themselves, their unborn baby and dependent loved ones and friends who are unable to articulate their wishes to live inspite of their disabilities.

From anonymous (please)--

Jim Beilby has been a teacher for adult Sunday School at our church, and we are grateful for him! His dedication to apologetics has helped encourage us to be more diligent in this area.

I have a sixteen-year-old child who is struggling right now with "religion." She tells us that she is a "question mark" when it comes to her relationship with Jesus. Her dad and I asked if we could suggest books to read, and she said, "no." What can we do as parents to help her "find [her] own way" at this troubling disclosure? She attends youth group and likes to work at Bible camp, but her life doesn't reflect what we have taught her.

You were Jesus to a stranger. You are Jesus to so many. I'm so glad you didn't miss being this day. Because your being blesses me.

Okay, Jennifer, this has got to stop! ;-) I just watched that video on your blog and cried, and now I've just read this and cried. You have certainly touched a nerve or two with both of theses posts. As always, such beautiful writing. You get to the CORE every time.
